Pyramedia Wraps up Semi-Final Judging Round for the 2017 International Emmys Competition in Abu Dhabi

On September 9th, Pyramedia Group in Abu Dhabi wrapped up the semi-final judging round for the selection of semi-finalists in the category of Best Performance by an Actor for the 2017 _J7A9641International Emmy Awards competition. The Nominees will be announced at the International Emmy Awards Gala held on November 20th in New York City, USA. The event that has been hosted by Pyramedia for the eighth time is a major platform for the sharing of ideas and experience in the media and culture scene as it is attended by celebrities, members of the press, producers and media personalities from a variety of countries and regions enriching the presence and dialogue that took place.

The event that was held in Bab El Qasr Hotel in Abu Dhabi was a great success that witnessed the gathering of celebrities and renowned media personalities who were part of the judging panel. Judges from this year’s event included (in alphabetical order) Abdallah Bin Haidar, Abed Fahd, Arwa Gouda, Asser Yasine, Dima al Jundi, Elham Chahine, Habib Gholoom, Hazem Samir, Mayssa Maghrebi, Qays Sheikh Najib , Saba Mubarak and Sara Abi Kanaan.

The judges selected the finalists after the screening of programs that made it to the semi-final round, which determines Nominees.

Nashwa Al Ruwaini, the CEO and Founder of Pyramedia Group and member of the International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences said, “Every year Pyramedia is proud to host the International Emmy Awards in Abu Dhabi and we always aim to enhance the experience through the selection of judges who create a strong dynamic environment for the exchange of knowledge that is paramount to the success of the event. Judges from the event also relayed their appreciation for the event and how they were proud to take part in this year’s round in Abu Dhabi.
